I have never in my life dreaded a Monday more than today. Simply because we now have to start life again with a new normal. All Thanksgiving weekend we just kind of hid and tried to sort things out. Now back to the real world.
I spoke with several people this morning. I called the MDA clinic here is Springfield. Kelly was so nice! We are going to register up in STL though since we are hoping to see Dr. Connelly soon. I also spoke with Children’s Miracle Network, but we have to apply to Medicaid and get an answer (which will be denied) before we can fill out an application for them. I plan on calling FSMA tomorrow.
I received a big box from amazon today thanks to Brett! 😀 It has ornament making clay and a frame with a place on each side for a hand and foot print! That will be going right under the big picture of our boys after its done! So excited!!!!
One of my best friends, Katy, came by and visited today! That helped make the afternoon go by much faster. When she left it was time to pick up Lucas from school. We have our afternoon MWF tradition of home, snack, WordGirl, and Wild Kratts. Then its shower time, start making dinner time, and then Daddy is home! 🙂
For dinner I made sweet potatoes. I haven’t done that in a long time. The pediatrician told us not to start solid foods. They don’t have enough calories in them. However, in regards to the bucket list, we do want some pictures and videos of Logan eating his first food. So we made sure he was well fed then gave him a small bit of pureed sweet potatoes. He wasn’t sure what to think at first and mulled it around in his mouth. Once he swallowed he had a great big smile! It was so sweet!
Lucas ended up going to bed late, but that’s ok. We had some great quality time together last night. At this point, that’s all that matters. Making some great memories.
